The Azerbaijani delegation has paid a visit to Silicon Valley.

Azerbaijani delegation visits Silicon Valley as part of preparations for the 49th ICPC world finals.

As part of the preparations for the 49th ICPC World Finals, a delegation from the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) has visited Silicon Valley, California, USA. With the support and organization of the ICPC Foundation, a series of official events and meetings were held from July 2 to 4.

On July 2, an international networking event dedicated to the upcoming ICPC World Finals 2025, which will be hosted in Baku, was held at the headquarters of Quora, located in Silicon Valley.

During the event, Shahin Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of IDDA, delivered a presentation in which he highlighted the Agency’s activities and achievements in innovation, digital transformation, and education. He also spoke about IDDA’s efforts in developing human capital in the ICT sector in Azerbaijan and emphasized the ongoing preparations for the ICPC World Finals.

The networking event was organized with the support of Dr. William Poucher, President of the ICPC Foundation, and Adam D’Angelo, Founder of Quora and Board Member at OpenAI.

As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation toured the headquarters of major tech companies such as Google and Meta, as well as Silkroad Hub, innovation centers, and technology museums based in Silicon Valley. Meetings were also held with Azerbaijani professionals working in the Valley and with representatives of global technology companies to explore potential cooperation opportunities.

The primary objective of these events and meetings was to establish connections with local and international ICPC alumni, foster networking with ICT professionals, promote the upcoming 49th ICPC World Finals in Baku, and discuss prospects for future collaboration.
