1 September 2026

Registration has opened for the “DIGITAL CHALLENGE AZERBAIJAN” competition, covering programming and cybersecurity, organized by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency within the “Digital Talents” project.

The “DIGITAL CHALLENGE AZERBAIJAN” competition will serve as an important platform for identifying professionals with high potential in programming and cybersecurity in Azerbaijan, showcasing and developing their knowledge and skills. At the same time, the project will contribute to increasing interest in digital fields, encouraging the professional development of young people in these areas, and strengthening the digital talent pool in line with labor market demands.

The competition will give participants the opportunity to test their knowledge and skills through practical tasks, assess their technical proficiency, and gain experience through scenarios that closely reflect real-world work environments. Azerbaijani citizens aged 17 and above who possess knowledge and skills in programming or cybersecurity and wish to demonstrate their potential in these fields can participate.

The competition will cover two tracks: Programming and Cybersecurity.

In the Programming track, participants’ technical knowledge of programming and software engineering, code development and optimization, algorithmic and logical thinking, as well as their ability to effectively use artificial intelligence tools in modern programming processes will be assessed. This track will be held individually and in Azerbaijani.

The Cybersecurity competition, organized in collaboration with the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center and the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, will feature CTF (Capture The Flag), Hackathon, and Cyber War formats, the latter being introduced in Azerbaijan for the first time. Participants will be evaluated based on their ability to complete practical tasks based on cybersecurity scenarios, analyze and solve technical problems, and communicate effectively within a team. The cybersecurity competition will be held in English and in a team format.

The competition will consist of three stages. In the final, three winners will be selected separately in each track from among the teams that successfully complete the qualifying stages. The final stage of the competition will take place on October 24 as part of the “Digital Challenge and ICT Exhibition.” Participants will have the opportunity to connect directly with potential employers operating in the digital sector and explore available job vacancies and career opportunities.

Each participant may register for only one track. Registration will remain open until September 30.
