New Chairman Appointed to the Innovation and Digital Development Agency

Farid Osmanov has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA).

It is worth noting that this position was previously held by Inara Valiyeva since 2023. During her tenure, the Agency achieved significant milestones in digital government development, fostering the innovation ecosystem, and building human capital in the ICT sector.

Inara Valiyeva successfully fulfilled her responsibilities, and the leadership of the Agency for the next phase has been entrusted to Farid Osmanov. Farid Osmanov holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Finance and Credit Faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.

Additionally, he graduated from the Faculty of Informatics and Management at the same university, specializing in Information Technologies in the Global Economy. Later, he earned a master’s degree in Information Systems and Management from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. He also holds international certifications in IT service management and information security management.

Since 2005, Farid Osmanov has worked in various roles at the Information Technology Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA). In 2013, he was appointed Director of the department and continued his career as the Chief Director at CBA starting in 2020. From August 2024, he served as an Advisor to the Minister of Digital Development and Transport.
