The fifth Graduation Day of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center — established jointly by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), and Israel’s Technion – Israel Institute of Technology — has taken place. Within this cohort, 100 new cybersecurity specialists have been trained.

At the opening of the event, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov spoke about the growing global economic impact of cybercrime, the new risks introduced to the cyber threat landscape by artificial intelligence, and the decisive role of the human factor in cybersecurity.

Chairman of the Board of IDDA, Farid Osmanov, emphasized the importance of the 2023–2027 national information and cybersecurity strategy. He highlighted digital literacy and data protection as key priorities, noting the Center’s contributions to the development of the ecosystem and the success of its training programs based on international best practices.

Representatives of partner institutions, including Technion, also addressed the audience, underscoring the program’s significance, objectives, and future prospects. Graduates then presented their final projects, applying the knowledge and skills they gained during the program to real-world problems and topics. Two graduates who achieved outstanding results were awarded for their success. At the end of the event, all 100 graduates received their certificates from the official guests.

Throughout their studies, participants received practical training from international experts in defense (Blue Team), attack (Red Team), and hybrid (Purple Team) cybersecurity strategies, gaining hands-on experience with the most advanced tools and methodologies in the field. To date, 380 specialists have graduated from the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, and 60 students from the sixth cohort are currently continuing their training.
