A delegation from the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) paid an official visit to the Republic of Chad. The delegation also included senior representatives of state-owned companies and technopark residents. The visit took place at the invitation of the Minister of Telecommunications, Digital Economy and Digitalization of Administration of the Republic of Chad, Michel Boukar.
As part of the visit, an official meeting was held between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Chad, Allamaye Halina, and the IRIA delegation. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in innovation, education, and digital development, exploring the export potential of Azerbaijan’s digital products, identifying opportunities for joint projects, and exchanging experience.
A separate meeting was also held with Michel Boukar. Discussions covered ongoing and planned digital projects in the Republic of Chad, key priorities and strategic goals in digitalization and innovation, cooperation opportunities within the framework of memoranda signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Chad, as well as experience sharing in the development of the innovation ecosystem, digital infrastructure, and the digitalization of public services.
During the visit, the IRIA delegation also met with senior officials from several ministries and government agencies of the Republic of Chad. These meetings included discussions on potential cooperation in the development of digital government infrastructure, cybersecurity, and innovation. Representatives of Azerbaijan’s technopark resident companies, who were part of the delegation, also participated in these meetings and explored potential export opportunities for digital products.
It should be noted that the primary objective of the visit was to promote and support the export of Azerbaijan’s digital products and solutions in the Republic of Chad, discuss opportunities for the implementation of large-scale projects, and establish cooperation in the digital sector between the two countries.
